Cash on Delivery (COD) Supervisor at Speedaf Express

Currently, we are building a local and cross-border service network to support air, sea and road transportation with the aim to be the leading diversified integrated logistics solution provider between China and emerging markets. Job Title: Cash on Delivery (COD) Supervisor

Location: Berger, Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

• The ideal candidate is expected to oversee a team of employees handling cash transactions for deliveries.
• He/ She will manage the logistics and cash handling processes for “cash on delivery” where payment is collected upon delivery of a package(s).
• The role includes managing logistics, supervising delivery personnel, ensuring the accuracy of cash collected, and sometimes managing staff and training.

Job Responsibilities

• Supervising a team of COD agents or clerks who handle cash and deliveries.
• Ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of cash collections and payments.
• Overseeing the logistics and delivery chain for COD orders.
• Potentially handling more complex tasks related to payables or accounts, such as assisting an accounts payable team.
• Ensuring COD confirmation for 3rd party.
• Process lost/claim reconciliation for all sites/ franchises.
• Cash freight confirmation and SAP posting
• Process sign up for new COD customers.
• Coordinate COD remittance for local customers.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree/ HND in Accounting.
• Must have at least 3-4years’ experience as a COD Accountant.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft office tools.
• Must have basic understanding of accounting principles.
• Must give timely and accurate data.
• Must have integrity
• Must pay attention to details.
• Must possess good communication skills.
• Must be proficient in excel.
• Good customer service skills.
• Having an accounting professional certification is an added advantage.
