Job Title: Assistant Production Manager

Location: Lagos
Reporting to: Production Manager

Job Summary

• Vitapur Nigeria Limited is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Assistant Production Manager.
• You will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of our production floor, ensuring that machinery, manpower, and materials are perfectly synchronized.
• You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the flow of our sandwich panel and insulation board lines while driving efficiency and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Shift Supervision: Lead and motivate production teams across shifts to ensure daily output targets for PU sandwich panels and chemical systems are met.
• Material Management: Monitor raw material consumption (Polyols, Isocyanates, and Pentane) to prevent stock-outs and minimize chemical wastage.
• Process Documentation: Maintain accurate daily production logs, downtime reports, and quality check sheets for management review.
• Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve immediate technical hitches on the production line to minimize downtime.
• Safety Enforcement: Act as the primary enforcer of Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) protocols on the factory floor, ensuring all staff use required PPE.
• Quality Assurance: Conduct hourly inspections of finished products to ensure they meet specified density, thickness, and fire-retardant standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: B.Sc. / HND in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Industrial Chemistry.
• Experience: 2–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment (Foam, Chemicals, or FMCG).
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with high-pressure foaming machines or lamination plants.
• Basic knowledge of Lean Manufacturing (5S) and Six Sigma principles.
• Availability: Must be willing to work flexible shifts (day/night) as required by the production schedule.
